Pumpkin Patch
This is where I tell the truth about failure. The Pumpkin Patch is what I call the seasons of my life where things didn’t grow the way I expected — when plans collapsed, ideas flopped, and I had to stand in the middle of disappointment and decide who I was going to become.
I’ve failed in small ways and public ways. I’ve misjudged, overreached, rushed, and sometimes simply fallen short. But every one of those moments planted something.
Failure has taught me patience. It has forced humility. It has sharpened resilience. It has revealed blind spots I couldn’t see when things were going well.
Here, I reflect on the setbacks — personal and professional — that shaped me more than the wins ever did. Not to dwell on mistakes, but to extract the lesson. To find the growth inside the loss.
Because falling short isn’t the opposite of success. It’s part of the path to it.
The Pumpkin Patch is about perseverance. About adaptability. About having the courage to try again — wiser, steadier, and stronger than before.
If you’re walking through your own patch right now, you’re not behind. You’re growing.
